Frequently asked questions
A Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) is a food and nutrition expert. They receive a bachelor's degree in Nutrition and Dietetics, must complete 1300 hours of a supervised internship, and pass a national board exam. An RDN is an essential part of the care team for Eating Disorder treatment, providing expert guidance on nutrition and dietary needs.
We highly recommend working with both a dietitian and a therapist throughout your recovery journey for comprehensive care. If you need both, you're welcome to work with our clinicians at Pearl Wellness. However, if you're already working with an outside clinician, we will gladly collaborate with them throughout your treatment. You are not required to see both providers at Pearl Wellness for treatment.
